1) Electric Resistance Heater:
An electric heater creates an electric current to create heat to a metal resistor, which acts as a heating element. It is an expensive way to heat a body of water because it requires a large amount of electricity to heat. Its heater is quick as it is used for the therapy pool or on heating spa when heating options are outside of the budget and are not practical.
2) Gas Pool Heater:
It is the most popular system for heating swimming pools. It can be used for spa heating or small therapeutic pool heating depending on climate and pool use. A gas heater is very powerful and can heat your pool in a short period depending upon the climate and size of the pool. It also operates independently with air temperature.
3) Heat pump:
The heat pump uses electricity to transfer heat from the environment to your pool. It can heat pool with less energy than gas or another heater when air is cool or warm. A heat pump can be used to both heat and cool your swimming pool and is suitable for solar heating of in-ground or above-ground swimming pool that warm both the house and the swimming pool. The advantage of having a heat pump is it works in all weather conditions.
4) Solar Panel:
A solar panel increases the temperature of the swimming pool through solar energy. The thermal panel absorbs solar radiation and converts it into heat, then transfers that heat into the water in the pool which acts as a solar swimming pool heater. This panel is renewable and have unlimited free energy but requires little energy to operate. It has a long life span of about 20 years and it is environmentally friendly that does not create any noise and pollution. Solar panel Keeps your pool warm throughout the swim season so the pool is ready when you are ready to swim.
